The Zetland has now two wine cellars, the old cellar which we have updated and the new. Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Norte Chico, Chile              

A very fresh style of Sauvignon from Chile with intense aromas of cut grass and nettles with a zesty palate and racy acidity.




Château Rives Blanques Chardonnay/Chenin Blanc 2008. Limoux, France

A clean, fresh and stylish Chardonnay/Chenin, delicious as an aperitif.




Albarino 2007, Bodegas Castro Martin, Rias Biaxas, Spain 

Produced from one of the cult white grapes of the moment, this is a solid, gracefully styled example.  The fruit has a tropical citrus flavour, with good length. 




Forrest Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Marlborough, New Zealand

Elegance is what this wine is all about: delicate flavours of blackcurrant leaf, elderflower, nettles, gooseberries and a subtle mineral quality all wrapped up in a clean, dry and very long finish




Les Galets Dorés 2008, Chateau Mourgues du Grès, Costières de Nîmes

A wonderfully aromatic wine, nuances of peaches and apricots, full bodied with balanced acidity and great length. In our opinion the best white wine Francois Collard has ever made.




Gruner Veltliner 2007, Hopler , Austria

The Austrian national grape variety is marked by its steely, dry character, apple and peach scents, and an alluring herbiness. This is a particularly alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.

Cefiro Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Vina Casablanca, Chile

Ripe gooseberry and tropical fruits with zesty flavours and a long dry finish.




Altosur Torrontes 2008, Finca Sophenia, Argentina

The colour is pale yellow with green hints.  It presents intense floral aromas combined with tropical fruit and citric notes. The palate is intense, concentrated with citric and mineral sensations that increase its freshness.







MadFish Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, Western Australia                                   

Ripe gooseberry, grapefruit and elderflower flavours with a delectable lick of acidity on the finish.







Chateau Tour de Mirambeau 2008, AC Bordeaux

Fresh and spritzy with lots of ripe, gooseberry fruit, herbal undertones and a slightly smoky finish







Chablis 2007, Domaine Bois d’Yver, Burgundy

Typical pale lemon colour with lovely bright green glints.   Very fresh with zippy citrus acidity and just a hint of mineral.




Pouilly Fuissé 2006, Chateau de Beauregard, Burgundy

Very  fresh, minerally and balanced, with a honeyed mid-palate and a fine finish of zesty grape.




Domaine Octavie Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Touraine, Loire                            

     Slight minerality on the nose leads to aromas of gooseberries and cut grass. Typical Sauvignon style with an underlying steely acidity.




Sancerre 2008, Andre Dezat, Loire

Mouthfilling, steely and packed with gooseberries, mineral notes and zesty citrus flavours.




Pinot d’Alsace 2005, Domaine Bott Geyl, Alsace

Cefiro Pinot Noir 2008, Vina Casablanca, Chile 

Ruby red colour with blackberries, cherries and chocolate aromas; in balance with notes of tobacco and cinnamon due to its 8 months in French oak barrels.  A small percentage of viognier increase its complexity and enhances its fruit character.




Malbec 2007, Achaval Ferrer, Mendoza, Argentina   

A delicious mouth-watering rush of berries, cherries, plums and spice! A well rounded fruit sensation with a tickle of floral hints.





Zinfandel 2007, Cline Vineyards, California

A showcase of dark berry fruit including black cherry and raspberry. With spicy notes and a lasting finish of vanilla from oak ageing and firm, supple tannins add complexity.







Shiraz 2006, Best Vineyards, Victoria

Lifted peppery red berry fruit aromas with flavours that mark Australia's signature red variety.




MadFish Cabernet Merlot 2005, Western Australia

Mud House Pinot Noir Swan Reserve 2008, Central Otago

Aromatic and perfumed with fine silky tannins and an earthy gamey depth to the sweet red fruits with exotic spices.  Citrus notes add a bright flourish to the savoury finish.







Medievo Crianza 2006, Bodegas del Medievo, Rioja

Full flavoured but elegant with wild red, black and blueberries, cedar wood and soft tannins. Balanced acidity and tannin with a lengthy balsamic, mineral finish.




Cantos de Valpiedra 2005, Familia Martinez Bujanda, Rioja

Fresh strawberry and dried cherry aromas with a dash of black pepper, followed by light dark cherry flavors, a touch of cedar. It has good balance, excellent acidity and soft round tannins on the finish.









Le Pigeoulet 2007, Vignobles Brunier, Vin de Pays

Loads of red fruit and backbone.  Broad and slightly sweet in the mouth with firm expansive tannins.




Ailes de Paloumey 2005, AOC Haut Medoc, Bordeaux

A 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; it is round and soft on the palate with delicious blackberry flavours. Les Ailes de Paloumey is a delight to drink now.




Chateau  Lascombes 2003,  Margaux, Bordeaux

From a superb vintage, the wine is elegant, smooth on the palate, with dark fruit character and a superbly long finish.





Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 2006, Domaine Vincent Girardin, Burgundy 

A pure, elegant Gevrey.  Medium-bodied and bursting with fresh cherry, berry and earth notes with excellent length and fine tannins.




Beaune Clos des Mouches 2006, Nicholas Rossignol, Burgundy                         

Blackberry and  raspberry aromas  with toasted walnut, tobacco featuring prominently on a silken,  impressively dense palate.  Firm tannins and fresh acidity enliven giving a long and memorable finish.





Fleurie Classique 2006, Château Beauregard, Burgundy

Plenty of fresh, fleshy strawberry and cherry fruits abound, a seriously elegant Fleurie.




Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Tradition 2007, Domaine Coste Chaude, Rhone

 A silky, fleshy wine with good concentration, elegance and attractive mineral characters.

Lovely soft fruit with spice, plums, herbs and a touch of leather with soft, ripe tannins, great length and a luscious finish.




Gigondas 2006, Domaine du Grapillon d’Or, Rhone 

Packed with fiery stewed fruit aromas, grilled meat and mineral, a complex affair! Full bodied but with an elegant edge and creamy vanilla and warm pepper spice flavours.








Barolo Serralinga d’Alba, Fontanafredda, Italy

Lovely nose of tar, roses and new oak which follow through onto an elegant but big palate with firm, ripe tannins and a great length.





Morellino di Scansano 2007, Morrisfarms, Tuscany

An intense fruity bouquet of ripe summerberry fruits. Full flavoured with wonderful freshness and harmony.




Chianti Classico 2007, Rocca dell Macie, Tuscany                                                     A delicious Chianti with the trademark flavours of black cherry and almond with a velvety texture and soft, mellow flavours.







Les Breteches de Chateau Kefraya 2006/7. Bekka Valley            Round and full with aromas and flavours of cocoa, vanilla and blackcurrant with just a whiff of wood smoke and tobacco.




South Africa



Porcupine Ridge Syrah 2008, Boekenhoutskloof, Coastal Region

This wine is dominated by spicy tones yet supported by dark fruit flavours. The palate is generous and extends to a lengthy finish.

Ripe, intense goosberry flavours laced with hints of cut grass and green apples. On the palate the wine is light to medium bodied with pleasant ripe fruit and a long finish.

Delicate and light with flavours of fresh apricots and peaches.




Elysium Black Muscat, Andrew Quady, California (37.5cl)

Magenta in colour, this wine is provocatively rose perfumed with deep layers of grapey muscat flavour.






Rustico Prosecco di Valobbiadene, Nino Franco                                                                                                            

Straw coloured and bright. Fine, persistent and crisp. Apple and pear flavours echo

on the aftertaste.




Champagne Forget-Brimont Brut 1er Cru                                                                                                                    

Dense, rich and refined with freshness of green apples, white flowers, nuts and

a lightly honeyed finish.




Champagne Billecart-Salmon  Brut Reserve NV                                                                                                             

This Champagne is from the smallest of the grandes marques and according to

Joanna Simon of The Times, it tastes of “lacy lightness and refinement.” 

A wonderfully elegant champagne.

This is one of the best rosé Champagnes on the market.  It has delicate, elegant

strawberry scented fruit with lemon and cream bubbles and a long lingering finish.
