The following wines below have been recommended from our current wine list. Each wine on our list has been individually chosen to provide a rich and varied choice to compliment our menus.  

Loire - White - 2003 - Sancerre Domaine La Guiberte - €33
Alain Gueneau, Sury-en-Vaux
A full wine with good flavours of fruit, pleasing touches of flint & spice. Long.

 

South Africa - White - 2003 - Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc - €28
Distell, Stellenbosch
On the nose the wine opens up with hints of tropical fruits as well as whiffs of green apples, gooseberries and the strong grass character so typical of colder regions’ Sauvignon Blanc:  Flavours that continue on the palate to blossom into an unique wine.

Plenty of fruit, fine aromas and rich, long and mellow on the palate.

 

Burgundy - White - 2004 - Pouilly-Fuissé Clos du Bourg - €39
Roger Luquet, Fuissé
A Chardonnay, rich, firm and flattering to the nose, laden with aromas, a sweet mellowness and amazing complexity.

 

France - White - 2003 - Les Fumées Blanches Sauvignon - €28
Jaques & Francois Lurton
A fresh dry Sauvignon. Crisp with excellent fruit flavours

 

France - Red  - 2002 - Château La Bastide Corbières  - €28
Guilhelm Durand, Escales
70% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 20% carignan
A very attractive wine with a lovely deep cherry colour and a rich complex nose. Firm in structureit is rich & powerful with elegant tannins.

 

Bordeaux - Red - 2002 - Château Peychaud Maisonneuve Côtes de Bourg - €32
Vignobles Bernard Germain
80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine has a richness and body unusual for this appellation, regularly winning three or four star rating in decanter, Revue du Vin de France and many other publications. 

 

Burgundy - Red - 2004    Cru Beaujolais Fleurie- €29
Pierre Ferraud & Fils, Belleville
One of the best quality wines produced from the Gamay grape. 

 

Anjou-Saumur - Red - 1999 - Saumur Champigny Cuvée Marginale - €49
T. Germain, Domaine des Roches Neuves
An incredibly concentrated, deep purple wine with layers of very elegant, structured vibrant fruit. Lovely balance acidity and smooth fine tannins.

 

Burgundy - Red  - 2001 - Mercurey Château de Chamirey - €44
Domaine Marquis de Jouennes d'Herville
A supple, well-balanced wine, fine on the palate with hints of hedgerow scents  on the nose.
